This is the first of a regular bi weekly feature to get the often overlooked Indie Games a bit of attention. Indie Games recently had a revamp and the forthcoming dashboard update will allow Xbox Live members to vote each release. It should be a good addition which will help promote the games.

The first game we are featuring is Heavy Payload which is a top down shoot-em-up in the style of 1942. You must defend yourself from the enemy planes as you reach your mission target. The game features an Arcade mode in traditional scrolling 1942 style and an Advanced mode which rotates the map around your plane. There are 9 levels with 4 modes of difficulty. Heavy Payload costs 400 :MSPoints: and the trial can be found here.
GhastlyGhouls is a simple avoid the items that bounce around the screen style game. In this game you play as Dracula and must avoid the ghouls for as long as possible. The longer you stay alive the harder the difficulty is. GhastlyGhouls costs 80 :MSPoints: and the trial can be found here.
Spaceman is a platform puzzle game where you must create blobs to navigate the evil scientists Dr. Strange space ship who has kidnapped the Galactic Princess in his quest for universal domination. On the way you can collect bonus points or go straight for the key to unlock the exit. Spaceman costs 240 :MSPoints: and the trial can be found here.
And finally we have Digital Art Gallery: Callad. This is a collection of digital images by Charely (Callad). It includes a slide show option and an image browser. Some quite nice artwork in there and at 80 :MSPoints: is a reasonable price. You can download the trial here.
I am working out the best way to show images for games in these posts so bear with me 🙂
