Astero Defender is a space themed twin stick shooter where you must destroy the ever advancing waves of enemy ships. To help defend yourself you have a rechargeable shield and and powerful power shot. The graphics are not great but I have seen worse! There may be some issues with collision detection as I am sure a few times I was not in contact with an enemy and I still lost health. Astero Defender costs 80 :MSPoints: and you can find more information here.
On A Roll is a traditional scrolling platform game much in the style of Sonic The Hedgehog. Graphics are OK and the level design seems fine, there is only one level in the trial so hard to tell. One slightly annoying issue is the camera follows your character instead of the location so it can result in some jerky camera movement when quickly changing direction. The short trial makes it hard to say if it is worth the 240 :MSPoints: but it is worth checking out at least. You can find more information on On A Roll here.
Tartaros is a 3D first person shooter set in a strange world with knights and monsters despite your character having pistols and machine guns, no explanation why. There seems to be some issues with the frame rate and the weapons make no visual indication that you are firing them or the bullets hitting the enemy, they just fall to the ground after a while. Overall its a pretty bad game and at 240 :MSPoints: it is not worth downloading the trial let alone purchasing the full game. More information can be found here.

Vectorforce is a twin stick vertical shoot em up. I will be honest, for some reason I have never been great at vertical shooters, horizontal shooters I am fine at, but not vertical 🙂 So I do not honestly know if the game is hard or not! The game has an interesting power up system where you can collect two different power ups and combine them for better firepower, I enjoyed changing between power ups to see the end results. It is an interesting game and worth checking out. Vectorforce costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.
War Ships is a Battleships clone with a few twists. To help against your opponent finding your ships you have a limited use radar which can be used to block your opponents missiles when they land on the chosen square. You also have two types of missile to attack with which when brought together adds an extra bit of strategy to the game. The presentation, graphics and sound are all done very well and it looks to be a polished game. The trial finished before I completed a game but it is an easy recommendation to check out and would be an even higher glowing review if it had Live support. War Ships costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.
