Astro Taxi is 2D mix of lunar lander and a platform game where you must collect and take passengers to destinations in your flying taxi. Graphics are retro style but the game is done well and if you are a fan of lunar lander style games you may love this. Astro Taxi does cost 240 :MSPoints: which might put some people off, but do check out the trial. More information can be found on the Marketplace here.
Cassie’s Corner is a quiz game presented by one of the most annoying presenters ever, if only you know the pains I sometimes have to go through to write these impressions. The questions are weird general knowledge and while fun to have a guess, the presenter and her overacting just annoys the fcuk out of me. There are 35 or so questions in total, each with a video of Cassie asking them. You will have to buy the full game to get the answers and results and I guess once you have endured the trial you wont be playing it again. Clownfish Aquarium is an aquarium screensaver. Personally I am getting sick of the developer GoVids and their shit video screensavers. You can’t do anything in the trial so I am not reviewing it or linking to Marketplace. Don’t encourage them to make more crap by downloading the trial.
Criminal’s Under Arrest is a side scrolling beatemup. You play as Special Agent John Adams trying to regain control of Norpen City by doing what any good beatemup should do, kill everyone in your path. The graphics are a bit basic, and there is no jump ability which I found weird, but other than that it is not a bad game. It is worth checking out at least. Jake’s Room is a 3D flight game where you must destroy the items in Jake’s room. You are a spaceship and must shoot other items including toy aircraft, globes and instruments. The graphics are pretty good but there are some control issues, nothing game breaking though. As the levels progress the items fight back which makes it quite interesting, it is worth checking out. Junkyard Battle is a puzzle game where you must make a stack of junk reach a target height. You control a crane and must lift and place junk on top of each other to get it to the specified height. There are some physics involved so you must be careful when placing objects on top of each other so they are balanced etc. I really enjoyed the game and shouted out a big NO! when the trial prompt appeared after eight minutes 🙂 This game could be a steal at 80 :MSPoints: so be sure to check it out, my favourite game of this update! Lander Mania is a Lunar Lander style game which supports up to four player locally. The aim of the game is to land on the scoring zones to get the best score. The trickier zones give more points so you have to use some skill to get the high scorers! Single player was unfortunately a little boring, I did not have a chance to play this on multiplayer but I think it could be good fun. MoleGame is a whack-a-rat game, the mole appears and you press the direction on the joypad. There isnt really much to this game, no highscores, no levels etc, even two player would have made it a bit more interesting. Picture Slider is a puzzle game where you must slide the jumbled up squares to make the correct image. There are 50 pictures to choose from and puzzle squares from 3×3 up to 7×7. Everything looks fine and at 80 :MSPoints: it seems like a good purchase if you like sliding picture puzzle games. More information can be found on the Marketplace.
The Adhara War is a part strategy/part shooter game. The game is a turn based game where you must control the grids where you can earn resources to build new spacecraft etc. You will soon run into the enemy which ups the pace to a real time shooter. The eight minute trial wasn’t enough to get a proper look at the game but from what I saw it is worth checking out and at 80 :MSPoints: this could be a good purchase if you like turn based strategy games.
