All releases are played for the eight minutes allowed in trials and impressions are made from that. If you would like for us to review your game in full, post an update on the progress of your game etc. please get in contact.

Alien Encounters is a first and third person shooter where you play as a Federated Armed Space Trooper (F.A.S.T.) who must explore an abandoned station on Xa-Tam. The game initially took some time to load, but once completed, further loads were pretty fast. Graphics are good and the music and sfx are done well, various voice overs can be heard which adds to the atmosphere. Controls are OK although I found the aiming a little clunky, but I think after a while you would get used to it. The full game comes with 20 Single Player levels and 18 different Multiplayer maps so there looks to be quite a bit of content for your 240 :MSPoints:, hopefully the multiplayer side of the game gets some interest. More information can be found on the Marketplace here.
PushCrates is a Sokoban clone where you must push crates into certain positions in a maze. The graphics are a bit basic, there is no built in music, sfx does the job. There are 50 levels to complete but at 240 :MSPoints: I think this may be more of an impulse purchase if it were 80 instead. More information can be found on the Marketplace here.
RadRiverRun is an arcade style game where you must navigate your character down a twisting river collecting the items for score, and avoiding the cliffside and obstacles which reduce your score. The graphics look good but they stutter a little when turning fast. The controls are a bit fiddly as well, holding a direction for a short time will result in the turning speed going too fast, very annoying! The full game contains six worlds to play and a two player Xbox Live multiplayer mode. RadRiverRun costs 240 :MSPoints: and information can be found on the Marketplace here.
Rail Gun Charlie is a psychedelic shooter game, has Jeff Minter being working on something else other than Gridrunner Revolution? Well he hasn’t, but this isn’t far off from looking like one of his games! 🙂 Graphics, sound and presentation are all very well done and looks professional, top marks there. The basic idea of the game is to fly around and defend the pods from the enemy who you have to shoot down. The gameplay is fast and while it is a little confusing at first, you should pick it up soon enough. The infamous ‘NOOOOO!’ from myself was heard at the end of the eight minutes trial which is a sign I enjoyed the game. Rail Gun Charlie costs 240 :MSPoints: and comes recommended by me, more information can be found on the Marketplace here.

SpiderEvader is a Cave Copter (I think thats the name) style game where you must navigate an auto scrolling screen and avoid hitting the wall, instead of a copter you are a fly and must avoid the web. The graphics are OK and fit the game genre, the fly sfx gets annoying very fast. The trial is short as there is a surprise on stage 3 where you must buy the full game to find out what it is, let me know if you buy the game. SpiderEvader costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found on the Marketplace here.
SummerVacation is a puzzle game where you must collect Star Blocks to complete the level. The puzzle part of the game is that your path is blocked by translucent blocks which can be pushed out the way and also used to block enemies paths. It seems an OK game with some quaint graphics and a catchy music track. At 80 :MSPoints: it seems a good price and worth checking out if you like puzzle games, more information can be found on the Marketplace here.
The Fart Machine II just missed the trial impressions on the 28th, you didn’t miss much though as no farts can be heard in the trial. Don’t bother with this one.
XCross is a Picross game, I will be straight up I love Picross games! I even started coding a Picross game for Indie Games and the Pandora handheld earlier this year, but I will save that story for another day. It is hard to explain Picross in a sentence, so basically you have to draw a picture in a grid of squares by working out which squares should be filled in by the numbers on each row/column. Graphics, music and presentation are all very well done. There are over 100 puzzles to complete and a new 3D puzzle to try out which is an interesting addition. XCross costs 240 :MSPoints: and gets a thumbs up from me, check out the trial! More information can be found on the Marketplace here.
