Echoes+ is a twin stick shooter much in the style of Geometry Wars. Graphics are 80’s neon and there’s a lively breakbeat tune which perked me up on a Sunday morning 🙂 If you like twin stick shooters and are not sick of them on Indie Games then this is well worth checking out as there are quite a few different game modes, high score tables and trials to complete. Gallery: World Cities is a photo viewing app which shows various scenes from around the world. I use it to trick my friends into thinking they are my photos and I have been travelling around the world, you could do the same for 80 :MSPoints:… The slideshow has jerky scrolling and I don’t really see the point of it. Hangman is exactly what the title suggests. There is not much presentation and you are thrown straight into the word guessing game. Basic presentation but you cant beat a bit of hangman now and again and the game is exactly that. There are some awards to unlock for beating a number of puzzles etc. and the Chat Pad works fine with the game. Hangman costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.
IncaBlocks is an up to four player local puzzle game where each player takes it in turn to place a shaped block on the board which must join their previously placed block. If the player can not do so they must skip a turn, the winner is the person that placed the most blocks. It is an interesting game and could be a good laugh with four human players, I am reviewing this later next week so keep an eye out for it. Influence is a twin stick shooter but instead of blasting everything in sight you must convert the enemy to your side by erm… blasting them. Instead of blowing up they will change to your side and fight alongside you. I quite enjoyed this game and has a little strategic twist with choosing what enemies to fight first and every couple of rounds there is a upgrade screen where points can be spent upgrading your ship. Minigolf Mania is a twin stick shooter, not really, it is a minigolf game 🙂 I love golf and mini golf games so couldn’t wait to try it and I was not disappointed, the menus are a bit weird but once you get in the game it is great. Graphics, music and sounds are all done very well and the track designs seem to be good with various special power things to help get that hole in one. There are over 60 holes to play which are split over four themed courses with various modes. This looks like an instant purchase if you like these kind of games, if you don’t then try the trial, you will enjoy it! Minigolf Mania costs 400 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.
Moviepas is some kind of puzzle game where you have to do something with squares which have little parts of a video in them. Unless I am being very thick I have no idea what you are supposed to do, the closest I can work out was you join two bits of the video together and they turn from black and white to colour. But after that no idea, and by then the squares have reached the top of the screen and it is game over. If you know what to do, leave a comment! Powa Volley is a volleyball style game with cartoon style graphics and characters. I have never been a fan of volleyball games and am useless at playing them so I wont pass judgement on how the game plays. Graphics are very nice and the themed locations look bright and colourful.
