This week sees thirteen new Xbox Indie Game releases along with sixteen title updates. We also have a little something extra this week.
I got hold of a cheap SD capture card during the week and while playing around with it I thought I would do a montage video of this weeks releases. This is the first time I have done any video capturing and editing so I know the production quality is a bit rubbish! I am learning as I go along so hopefully we will have it looking like a Hollywood film soon 🙂 If you have any tips or feedback please let us know as we want to create more videos in the future, eventually doing a proper indie games show and reviews. Geddon it!
Figment can be played in either single player or two player co-op. The game is set in a child’s imagination where you play as action figure toys who must save a boy from the evil toy monsters. The side scrolling gameplay with beat em up style action makes for a nice change from avatar and puzzle games and it has great graphics and music which sets the theme perfectly. Figment costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found on the Marketplace.
Hypership Out of Control is a retro style arcade game. Your ship has no breaks and increases in speed as you navigate the many hazards to make it to the next level. It has a puzzle style element where you can if you wish to, remember the layout of the level to collect the coins and power ups which include weapon upgrades and ship slow downs which are very useful. This is a simple game that is done very well with plenty of replayability and that all important ‘one more go’ factor. Avatar Baseball – Avatar baseball is the original and funniest way to play baseball with your avatar. Face CPU or a friend and make as much runs as possible. Prepare your fingers for the action. Avatar Puzzle Pop – Avatar Puzzle Pop is a frantic and fun action puzzler. Connect two groups of blocks of the same colour to remove them from the play field. Combo blocks together for big points. Avatar support for fun gameplay feedback. Multiple game modes, clear the line, disarm the bombs, shoot some dice and play a friend in 2 player mode. FS racing – Fight against time in this old school arcade racing game. Race in 14 circuits in 9 different scenarios with four cars with different characteristics. High speed at 60 frames per second. Isagoras – The human race is in danger! The Solar System will be your battlefield, only you can stop the alien forces that are trying to exterminate our species. Mama & Son – Clean House – Really Shooter and his mother Poor Mama are running a cleaning service business, with Really taking commando jobs on the side. Ricochet Assassin – Ricochet Assassin is a hybrid of Bowman where you have to ricochet arrows off of walls and objects to assassinate your target. Notebook Shooter – This stick shooter pins you against endless waves of increasingly difficult evil robots that must be destroyed! Fast paced fun for 1-4 people cooperatively.
