Twelve new releases and as many updates in this weeks round up of Xbox Indie Games releases, with trial impressions for the best.
Next weeks Indie Games Round Up may be delayed until the Monday instead of the usual Sunday as I will be at Eurogamer Expo over the weekend. Geddon it!
Didgery is a card based puzzle game where you must try to make a run of cards. The cards can either match values to change suit or the following card in the suit must be a lower value to continue the run. The presentation and graphics are very good and while the tutorial in the trial will take up a bit of time it is worth persevering as it is turns into a very well done game. Extreme Jigsaw Madness is as you have guessed it’s a jigsaw puzzle game. There are ‘extreme’ race against the clock and ‘classic’ jigsaw modes to play. The extreme mode works very well and is fun to play. The controls work well to move and rotate the pieces around the board in order to create score chains which unlock other jigsaw puzzles. The game can be played with up to 3 other players. I know jigsaw puzzles are not everyone’s thing, but it makes a nice change from the usual releases and is well worth checking out. A Shooter – A Pure horizontally scrolling Shooter experience. ArchRobo, Robotic Annihilation – This is ArchRobo, the awesome new twin-stick action shooter for Xbox 360. Demo Durb is a fun and simple vehicular combat game centered around demolition derby. Not only must you destroy your opponent’s vehicle, but you must also strike down their driver to prevent their car from re-spawning. The game includes two other game modes tag, and the cooperative zombie mode. Demo Durb can also be played over system-link for a 16 player frenzy.
