Before getting on to the games you may be aware of the recent changes to the way Microsoft has been promoting Xbox Indie Games. The main change for the end user is actually finding the XBLIG on the dashboard as it is now hidden away in a ‘Specialty’ section of the Games Marketplace. I won’t go over all the details here as it has already been covered by ViNull.com which explains how Microsoft is slowly killing XBLIG. Please have a read and pass the word around!
I put together a new gameplay compilation video of this weeks indie releases. The sound quality is *much* better now, though a couple of games have some sound clipping, I will try and fix this for the next video. One additional note – CheneyStar has an intro which I thought was the proper game. I did not realise the mistake until after I recorded the video and uploaded it, so it is showing footage from the wrong part of the game. I will include the proper CheneyStar game in next weeks round up.

Geddon it!

Gizmo the Puzzle – This is a puzzle game. Gizmo (green) and blocks (red) fall at random , well stacked, Sometimes the water appears, it flow Gizmo. Blocks arranged in a row, it will disappear. if the Meter in the lower right will fill up , the star appears. Dropping the stars, Gizmo below it will be clean. Silent Call – Battle through over 9000 levels in this original dungeon-crawler for the 360. Cut down enemies as a Warrior; overwhelm foes with magic as a Mage; or fill your pockets with gold while trying to survive as an Explorer. Snail Story – Join the Snail and Butterfly as they embark on a learning adventure. This early education game features symbols with audio for the English Alphabet, Numbers, Shapes, Musical Instruments and Animals. Each level introduces slightly different game play to help children further develop hand and visual coordination. Starlight is a Puzzle Platformer about shifting between worlds. The game world exits on two planes, and the player is tasked with jumping between these two parallel worlds in order to collect every star.
