Inspired by the recent Kotaku redesign we decided to change a few things around 🙂
Joking aside, I hope the changes are not too much of an issue as the new design is based on our previous one. There are a few changes such as the colour scheme and the main additions such as the new featured post header and gallery slideshow on the front page.
The changes allow us to categorise everything a little more efficiently. The featured posts allow visitors to see the main news and the scrolling gallery slideshow gives a quick look at the latest ten screenshots and videos uploaded to the site. The article pages remain the same layout as before, the main changes being a slightly wider page which allows us to have larger image thumbnails and larger videos (640×390 instead of 560×349).
There should not be any issues with the new design apart from some occasional misaligned thumbnails on the older Indie Games Round Up articles, future articles will be fine though. If you spot any problems let us know in the comments and we will look into it. We will be making some small changes as well as new additions to the site over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for those!
