Sony held a press conference today to talk about the recent events and what the future holds.
There is no transcript yet so I have made a few key notes from the press conference:
– PSN will start a staggered return next week. First will be online gaming and account management. PSN Store will be back later in May.
– A new PS3 firmware update will be available when PSN is back online.
– Account passwords will only be changeable on the same PS3 that the account was created on, or through a verified address.
– Sony is said to be considering covering the costs of credit card replacement.
– A ‘welcome back’ compensation pack will include free downloads of content such as a selected game or film, 30 days of PlayStation+ and Qriocity.
