This weeks Xbox Indie Game Round Up includes Take Arms, Chester, SpeedRunner HD and Train Frontier Express.
The Summer Uprising ended on Friday, though the final game Redd: The Lost Temple is missing so we will cover that when it is released. There were a few disappointments with some of the games, but there were also a few gems so I hope everyone has bought at least one of the games from the uprising. If not, maybe one of the other many releases this week will take your interest.

Up next are this weeks releases sorted in a rough order on how good they are over three categories. Trial impressions have been wrote for the Geddon it! category games, the category is a must try and/or buy. Armehgeddon is a category that has some games that are worth considering at least playing the trial to see if you like them, they are by no means bad. The final category, Armageddon outta here!, contains games that are probably not worth the time unless something sounds interesting to you.

Take Arms is primarily a multiplayer game though it does support a single player mode against bots. It is a 2D action game in which up to eight players battle it out over three modes; Death Match, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Three classes are available which should keep in your face gunners and snipers happy. The game looks to be very well made and while I could not try the online version (not available in the trial) I could see this could being an interesting tactical game playing with a group of friends or random people online. The graphics and animation look great and while there are only three levels there could be enough variety for a good amount of gameplay. Well worth giving it a try at least.

Chester is a traditional 2D style platform game. The interesting ‘unique’ feature to set it apart from the many other platformers is the ability to change the theme of the level during the game, several are available including a 8-bit style and a cool Game & Watch style theme. The game itself seems to play well enough but there are only five worlds, maybe a little too short? We should know more in our review which will be online in a few days. In the meantime check out the trial.
Armehgeddon
This category has games that are well worth trying if the descriptions interest you. The games are by no means bad, but may lack the quality, design, price or something else that keeps it out the top category.
SpeedRunner HD – 240 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer

While the singleplayer offers enough challenges to keep you busy for a while, the multiplayer is where this game really shines. So gather (up to) 3 of your friends and compete in a speedrunning spectacle with gameplay reminiscent of Mario Kart and Micro Machines!

Train Frontier is a landscape building and train riding good time. Make an epic creation, then share it with your friends through Xbox Live and ride together. Build it, share it, ride it, crash it, relax!

A new Moe Mekuri is here! Just like the previous one, the game is simple as turning all the panels to face up. Can you complete all the stages and add the cute girls’ pictures to the gallery? The higher the difficulty level, the less clothing the girl in the picture have! It’s a Moe-moe puzzle game that perfectly reflects the developer’s appetite!

Take to the skies over North Africa in a P-47 Thunderbolt to defend against the German Luftwaffe. Attempt to break past their fighters and destroy their base while your squadron provides cover. This category is for games that you may want to avoid on the reasons such as low quality, bugs, bad design, high price or playability. Some games are still playable but the overall opinion is they are probably not worth buying.
