This weeks Xbox Indie Game Round Up includes Glow Arcade Racer, Pixel Animator 3D and Ninja War Stole Scrolls.
A very quiet week for Indie Game releases, I think the quietest in the two years I have written these articles. Below is our compilation video showing gameplay from the weeks releases. Please take a look and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/TheGamergeddon.
Up next are this weeks releases sorted in a rough order on how good they are over three categories. Trial impressions have been wrote for the Geddon it! category games and they are a must try and/or buy. Armehgeddon is a category that has some games that are worth considering at least playing the trial to see if you like them, they are by no means bad. The final category, Armageddon outta here!, contains games that are probably not worth the time unless something sounds interesting to you. Both the Armehgeddon and Armageddon outta here! use the developers game descriptions.
Geddon It!
Glow Arcade Racer – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer
[singlepic id=8181 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Glow Arcade Racer is a top down racer set in a retro style neon world. Up to four players, unfortunately offline only, can race against each other or against the CPU AI. Winning a race unlocks new tracks, weapons and game modes so there is a bit of variety. In addition there is a track editor to build your own tracks. Graphics look good and the music and sound effects fit the retro theme. Well worth buying for 80 :MSPoints: if you have a couple of friends over.
Pixel Animator 3D – 240 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer
[singlepic id=8184 w=320 h=240 float=center]
Pixel Animator 3D is a 3D pixel art model and animation builder. You create models in 3D made up from blocks and can animate them in a scene. If you are a fan of building things on Fortress Craft you should definitely take a look as this gives you some more creativity and follows the same building block principle. I do not think you can share your creations with other owners which could be a letdown. Give it a go if you enjoy building style games, it looks quite fun.
Armehgeddon
This category has games that are well worth trying if the developers descriptions interest you. The games are by no means bad, but may lack the quality, design, price or something else that keeps it out the top category.
Ninja War STOLEN SCROLLS – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer
Speedy action ninja game of fire and water and wind and lightning! Up to four people can play together!
Flag Hunt – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer
Flag Hunt extends the complex game play and strategy of Chess into a contemporary wartime environment. You have a choice of different battle modes as you command tanks, jets, helicopters and missiles with the help from radar trackers to sniff out the enemy and win the battle.
Shock and Awe – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer
Come get some! If you want to paralyze your enemy, then it is all about SHOCK AND AWE! SHOCK them with your firepower, AWE them with your awesomeness! Even better, bring your friends’ awesomeness too. In this twin-stick shooter you can play with four of your friends; each being able to choose between four dead cool characters with unique strengths and weapons.
Armageddon outta here!
This category is for games that you may want to avoid on the reasons such as low quality, bugs, bad design, high price or playability. Some games are still playable but the overall opinion is they are probably not worth buying. Developers game descriptions are used.
Merball Tournament – 80 :MSPoints: – Marketplace – Trailer
Enter a contest in which two teams of mermaids compete to find a randomly placed coral ball and carry it all the way to the opposing team’s court, within a sunken ship that makes the game a true 3D maze. Can you swim fast enough to win this tournament?
