The anticipated 3.50 system software update for PlayStation 4 users begins rolling out today/tomorrow. Below, you’ll find a detailed list and what’s included in this new update.
- Appear Offline – on your PSN Profile tab, you will now be able to change your online status. You can set it so you are hidden as soon as you log on, or at any other time by entering your profile.
- Friend Online Notification – this feature should of been included from launch. Now, you’ll get a notification when you friends actually come online. As it currently stands, you get notified when they join a party. You can set the notifications on or off for each individual friend.
- User Scheduled Event – this is an update that adds on the to recently added Events feature. With this update, you can now schedule and event with specific friends instead of with random people.
- Remote Play (PC/Mac) – Yes! Windows 10, Window 8.1, and Mac users (OS X 10.10/10.11) can use remote play via their computer to play PS4 games. Your Internet capabilities will play a part, but nowadays I’d like to think most of us have pretty solid connections.
A few smaller changes will also be made, tweaking the UI to be just a little better – see what changes you notice when you get the update.
