Square Enix has just released a bunch of new screens from their upcoming sequel, Final Fantasy XIII-2. It looks pretty nice so far, and you get to see a few new battle shots and more.

After the widely-acknowledged failure of Final Fantasy XIII, we can’t help feel its sequel might not receive the reception it deserves. But, it won’t be exactly the same this time around either. Square Enix is making a few changes to the CSB and Paradigm Shift battle system. Various other changes have been made so far – but we haven’t heard if there will be towns and cities to explore, and any exploration for that matter.
Final Fantasy XIII-3 is currently slated for a December 2011 release in Japan while North America should have the game in early 2012.
