The strategy wargame War of the Human Tanks is now available on Steam.
War of the Human Tanks is a story driven strategy game that mixes elements from the classic Advance Wars series and board games such as Chess and Battleships. The story part of the game is quite lengthy so expect a lot of reading in between battles, ideal for a post game cup of tea! The game features over thirty maps and your journey sees you building a tank army with the rewards from previous battles. Your tanks can be customised with a number of modules to give them a boost in certain areas.

I just spent the past hour playing the game and as mentioned above it is quite heavy on the story with plenty of dialogue between the games characters. It can be a little slow paced if you just want to get straight into the action. Once in battle, the game picks up speed and turns into a kind of turn based gameplay, think of it like the ATS on newer Final Fantasy games. The action is fast paced and keeps you on your toes while you manage your tank squad as they move, attack and scout the battlefield. Before each battle you can choose which tanks you want to bring, as well as build and modify others. If you are a fan of strategy games you may want to check it out. You can skip the story if you wish to so don’t let the lengthy dialogue sections put you off too much.
