Here is the latest indie game round up complete with Avatars, Zombies and Aliens being the main theme of this bunch of releases.

Avatar Meet Up Live! is an online meeting place for others that have purchased this title. The trial does not allow you to go online so I was unable to try it but from the offline version with bots this does not look to be much use. Give this one a miss. Avatar Meet Up Live! costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Avatar Quest is the latest offering from Evolution Dreams Studio. This is a puzzle game where you must get from one side of the screen to the other by stepping on coloured tiles, once you start your journey you can only step on the same colour tiles so you must quickly plan ahead to ensure you do not get stuck. It seems to be a pretty good game and is worth checking out. Avatar Quest costs 240 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Drunk Zombies is a game where you must defend your stash of booze from the zombies. The game is very basic with simple left/right and shoot controls and before the end of the trial you will be bored as there is little gameplay. One to avoid, let the Zombies have the booze it might be funnier. Drunk Zombies costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Earth Shaker is a remake of the ZX Spectrum game of the same name. It reminds me a bit of the Boulderdash games where you must dig the ground to collect jewels and avoid falling boulders amongst other obstacles. If you are a fan of retro gaming this is one to check out as apart from the 30  minute loading time being absent it feels just like playing on the speccy 🙂 Earth Shaker costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Hang ’em High A Hangman Game is a hangman game, guess the missing letters in words or phrases before the hangmans noose is built to win. The game seems OK for a hangman game, nothing special but does the job. It is lacking Chat Pad support which would have been a nice touch. Hang ’em High A Hangman Game costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

iRiS 2.0 – Visualizer Studio is an application that allows you to create your own music visualisations from your music either stored on the 360 or from a connected PC. I skipped the tutorial to get stuck into making my own and there looks to be quite an extensive library of visualisations to choose from and tweak and add to your show. If you are looking to make your own visualisations this could be quite useful. iRiS 2.0 – Visualizer Studio costs 400 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Missing Reel is an up to four player (human or CPU) arcade survival arena shooter. You must defend yourself against the waves of alien invaders and rack up the scores. The game seems to play fine and the CPU players do a good job of helping out, felt like other humans were playing which is rare. Well worth checking out! Missing Reel costs 240 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Snake4D is a twist on the classic Snake game where you must collect the fruit to grow your Snake and avoid contact with walls and your tail. In Snake4D, when you collect fruit the screen rotates to add an extra challenge. Personally I found the game to be really confusing and I just ended up feeling dizzy, you may have better luck. Snake4D costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here, a trailer can be found below.

Yet Another Zombie Defense is as the name suggests a Zombie Defense game, I was not expecting much but this is actually not a bad game. There is a strategic element in the game as it plays like a survival arena game but you can also purchase items such as fences and turrets to help fend off the waves of Zombies. I usually start to get a little bored before the trial limit expires but I was still happily playing when it popped up, worth checking out. Yet Another Zombie Defense costs 80 :MSPoints: and more information can be found here.

Titles that have received a software update or price change are Arcade Snake, Dungeon Adventure and Physics Lab.
