Earlier this summer, Sony Computer Entertainment confirmed that PlayStation Plus would be hitting the Vita, but they left some questions unanswered. Now we’ve got more information and we know when it’s coming.
According to Sony, the list of features will be the same as the PS3, but for those unfamiliar we’ll detail that in a second. The biggest question for some of us was – “I have Plus on PS3. Do I have to buy another membership for my Vita?” The answer is no. Sony has now confirmed that users that currently have an active PlayStation Plus account on the PS3 will automatically have Plus on the Vita as well. Yay!
Anyhow, here’s what you’ll get with PlayStation Plus.
- Instant Game Collection
- Discounts
- Online Game Storage
- Automatic Updates
- Automation Trophy Sync
It’s pretty much the same – and it’s very worthwhile in the long run. I’ve got over $300 in free games on the PS3, and over $50 saved through discounts as well. PlayStation Plus hits Vita sometime in November – be sure to sign up to get some awesome deals!
